Created with a Stainless steel finish, the Peugeot Mills are partially filled with salt and/or pepper at the factory in France as part of final assembly and testing. Ready to use upon arrival as the mechanism is equipped with a helix-shaped double row of teeth that guide and hold the salt or pepper for a perfect grind. The classic grind adjustment easily turns using the top knob tighter (clockwise) for finer grinds; looser (counter-clockwise) for more coarse grinds.
